Need information on schedules, fares and routes of the Delhi Metro? Now you can get it at the click of a mouse.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Google India has tied up to provide complete information on the schedule and routes of the new age transport system through "Google
Transit".

The transit service for Delhi Metro would also be available on mobile devices with Google Maps for Mobile, so commuters can check the latest updates to make route changes on-the-go.

Google Transit which is a way to navigate on Google maps can give easy information on train timings, station locations, frequency of service, time taken for travel and ticket fares.

This will benefit thousands of visitors who are likely to visit the national capital later this year.

In addition, as new routes get added to the Metro network, people from Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon would find it useful in accessing information related to routes and train schedules.

This free of cost service will be available on desktops as well as mobiles to benefit a wider spectrum of commuters, according to a joint release from DMRC and Google India.

Commenting on the new initiative, DMRC chief E Sreedharan said the metro had launched several initiatives to help commuters better manage their travel time, transfers, and make more informed transport decisions.
