Intex has launched two new phones - a Dual SIM and a Triple SIM handset.

The Intex IN 5030 marks the debut of the brand in the Triple SIM (GSM + GSM + CDMA) mobile segment.

While receiving/making a call on one of the GSM connections, the CDMA connection remains active (and vice versa), allowing the user to easily make a shift between the two numbers. The Java enabled handset comes with two batteries (in nos) each providing a talk time and stand-by of up to four and 120 hrs respectively.

The Intex IN 4420 Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) has as its main USP a currency checker that lets users differentiate between a fake and real Indian currency note.

The phone can also identify and display the name of the circle/area while making/receiving a call (the facility is network-specific). The phone also has a Dual LED torch light, Wireless FM radio and an Indian calendar with all the details of festivals. Intex maintains that the phone will provide 3.5 hours of talk time and 270 hrs of stand-by.

Both handsets feature FM radio, audio and video player, pre-set audio equalizers, Bluetooth, PC synchronization/Modem/Webcam/PC Suite, GPRS and WAP, mobile tracker, auto call recorder, currency converter and expandable memory up to 4GB.

The Intex IN 5030 carries an MOP of Rs. 4,700 and the IN 4220 carries an MOP of Rs. 3300.
